Description of the research topic:
The aim of this dissertation is to examine how landforms, landscape patterns, landscape character elements are represented in the contemporary landscape architecture, open space design. Not only in garden history (such as the dry rivers, dry waterfall, stone-mounts of Japanese gardens, or nimpheums, or alpinetum or blue-cave grottos) but later on the narrative of the design were inspired by the abstraction of natural forms, rocks, geological features (Halprins’s work). Today the imitation and adaptation of natural vistas, patterns, landscape combination are very common in the design, so the dissertations seeks to describe, compare and analyse 40 examples in order to find deeper correspondence.
