Description of the research topic:

Annually, huge amount of lignocellulosic wastes are produced from agricultural and forest sectors that are as good as raw materials for other industries. Because of stable structure of hemicellulose, these types of materials require different pretreatment methods such as physicals, physico-chemicals, chemicals, biochemicals etc. before become to utilisable. In this research program, the biological pretreatment method is focused. Outcome of program is the consortium of microorganisms that is able to pretreat efficiently and environmental friendly agricultural and forest wastes.
