Climate adaptation has special landscape architectural issues in semi-arid climate where heat and the lack of rain limit the possibilities of landscaping and managing urban open spaces. Especially greening need a special care. Local cultures has a traditional responsibility of open spaces as well as local communities have strong cohesion conserning open spaces. This outstanding situation emerges to research these special urban open spaces and also to develope a landscape architectural toolkit to answer these challenges.
