Description of the research topic:

The scope of the program is to reveal the interconnectedness of legisprudence, economy, and constitutional law, focusing on the ongoing changes in constitutional theory and practice. The traditional constitutional law concept of governance, which focuses mainly on the decision-making process by which society can be controlled, is redefined and applied in the global as well as the inter/transnational arena. In the interdependent world it is the best interest of a state to be part of international organizations and comply with their rules. This phenomenon necessarily changes some traditional notions of constitutional theory and necessitates the transformation and reinterpretation of these constitutional concepts with special regard to the inter/supranational level. States can cope with new challenges when they cooperate and carry out a continuous dialogue with other actors of international life. Supra- and international actors may give an important impetus to the democratic operation of a state through constitutional dialogue. Also, the concept and main content elements of quality legislation, primarily applicable in national (and EU) legislation and being a component of constitutional dialogue, may be a basis for international regulations adopted by international bodies and transnational organizations.
It can be observed that the program Legisprudence - economy - constitutional law is meant to offer a wide range of topics to be researched and exactly that is why it has an interdisciplinary character: it offers studies, for instance, on the economic constitution from the perspectives of constitutional theory, economic sciences and the agenda of quality legislation, changing concepts of constitutional law and governance and dynamics of state interactions in, inter alia, the field of law-making, the economic effect of legislative and judicial decisions related to constitutional law, constitutional theory and practice of human rights in the globalised word, the evaluation of the implementation of tools and measures of better/quality/smart regulation in multilevel governance. These are just some of the possible issues worth to be examined during the doctoral studies.
Due to the rules of the Doctoral School, in the course of doctoral studies the primary focus is on writing papers and having them published in academic journals. Another way of disseminating research results is participation at thematic conferences. In order to facilitate these activities, the supervisor offers continuous and effective assistance and opportunities for discussion on the respective topics.
