Description of the research topic:

Climate as a tourism resource plays a crucial role in the attractiveness of tourist destinations and affects the seasonality trends. The suitability of climatic conditions in the overall tourism (eg. visiting urban places) can be quantified by general tourism climate indices. In case of special tourism needs (eg. skiing) the suitability can be characterized by the the frequency distribution of the values of certain climatic parameters. The research is directed on relationship between the Central European climatic conditions and the comfort perception of inbound-outbound travelers.
