Description of the research topic:
One area of physiology research is the characterization of membrane process. The factors which affect the integrity of the membrane have a significant role on underlying physiological processes. So, every factor that affects membrane integrity and function has an effect on the physiology processes and behavior of the organisms.
Free radicals are found in cells but various environmental stresses lead to excessive production of free radicals causing progressive oxidative damage and ultimately cell death.
Oxidative stress reflects an imbalance between the systemic manifestation of reactive oxygen species and a biological system's ability to readily detoxify the reactive intermediates or to repair the resulting damage. Disturbances in the normal redox state of cells can cause toxic effects through the production of peroxides and free radicals that damage all components of the cell, including proteins, lipids, and DNA.
The living surroundings of plants are affected by various stressors. These stressors affect free radicals formation are included: shorter lifetime, decreased quality and quantity of yield.
Sufficient plant nutrition supply is a requirement for adequacy quantity and quality yield. On the other hand, the production of mineral fertilizers requires a large amount of energy and releases CO2 into the atmosphere.
