Description of the research topic:

Formulation of lysozyme-containing pellets with extrusion-spheronization. Modelling of material movement as well as heat and moisture distribution occurring in the process steps by using CFD and/or DEM methods and artificial neural networks. Examination of the physical-chemical properties, drug release and enzymatic activity of the finished product with traditional and modern analytical methods. Investigation of the changes in the protein structure by using spectroscopic methods (NIR, FT-IR, Raman).
