Institutions in different education systems worldwide may serve similar goals, ie. assuring the personal (both cognitive and affective) and social growth of their learners. Contraversaries of mass education versus individualized needs of learners, let those derive from their cognitive, affective or social status have always been an educational challange to face. Research aiming at unfolding educational tools and practices serving the needs of diverse learners or certain groups of learners therefore is essential to carry out, in order to offer possible good practices for wider audiences for further consideration and application. Investigations may have synchronic or diachronic approaches and research methodology applied may meet criteria of qualitative or mixed methodology.
