A kutatási téma leírása:

a.) Preliminaries:
Improving the performance of a solar dryer integrated with thermal energy storage material involves optimizing various aspects of the system to enhance efficiency, reliability, and effectiveness.The main challanging factor for the solar dryer system is maintining uniform temprature on the dryening chamber and the intermittent nature of solar radiation. During the night, there is no solar radiation to heat the air that dries the products. As a result, the drying process stops and the products may start to absorb moisture from the surrounding air. This can lead to uneven drying and the growth of mold or bacteria on the products.
Many publications have already created in international journals, conferences, project works, and BSc and MSc theses.

b.) Aim of the research:
The purpose of this research is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of a solar dryer system through the integration of advanced solar thermal energy storage materials, with the goal of optimizing drying proccess. processes,During the research, it is necessary to carry out CFD analysis and laboratory measurements of solar dryer integerated with thermal energy storage material.Selection of thermal energy storage material apropreti for a given opireting temparture,enahancing the efficiency of Energy storage material using different techiniques will be done.

c.) Tasks, main items, necessary time:
• Collection and study of literature data and models regarding solar dryer integerated with thermal energy storage (1 semester).
• Mathematical modelling and CFD simulation of the proposed system (2 semesters )
• Development of laboratory model of dryer integerated with thermal energy storage (2 semesters).
• The validation of the CFD simulation with experimental work (1 semesters).
• Publishing the results in scientific journals and preparing the PhD thesis (2 semesters).

d.) Required equipment:
• Solar dryer laboratory measuring equipment.
• Instruments and sensors are capable of measuring various operational parameters, as well as data logger and data recording software for automatically logging measured data.
• IT hardware and software background to carry out the research work.
The listed tools are provided to start the research.

e.) Expected scientific results:
• Increased energy efficiency
• Enhanced drying performance
• Extended drying time due to the use of termal energy storage
• Optimized temperature control
