A kutatási téma leírása:

There is a growing demand for flexible manufacturing techniques that meet the rapid changes in production technology, processes and innovations. Multipoint forming (MPF) is a flexible sheet metal forming technique where a reconfigurable die can be readily changed to produce various shapes, we don’t need rigid tools. Parts produced using MPF suffer from geometrical defects such as wrinkling, dimpling and thickness variations.
The main goal of the research is to determine the optimal technological parameters of the multi-point forming, to analyze the formability using different material qualities, to increase the achievable accuracy. A particularly important area in the research is the effect of various technological parameters (eg.: plate thickness, material quality, tool parameters). Experimental studies and finite element modeling are required to perform the studies.
