We can identify many diseases and pathogens by volatile molecules. Initially, our research team focused on the early diagnosis of lung cancer. We have set up a database of clinical samples; some of them are still need to be processed. Classification of odour samples from lung cancer and control patients has begun with the help of dogs with GC-MS confirmation. In addition to lung cancer, we also collected clinical samples from patients with TB. Moreover, we were able to achieve the classification of pathogens after a short culture time, but we are also working on the detectability of drug contaminants. Beside to the dogs and GC-MS, we also have the most advanced electronic nose and GC-IMS (gas chromatograph ion mobilization spectrometer) equipment for the identification of volatile organic molecules and the classification of samples. Processing of existing samples and discovery of new areas await the candidate. Commitment to instrumental measurement as well as data analysis is an advantage.
