A kutatási téma leírása:
The traditional modelling and mapping procedure is based on the analysis of the relationship between the certain environmental processes and their influencing factors. This topic covers the development of innovative mapping procedures and model developments using remote sensing and digital elevation modelling tools to describe and model the target phenomena, like soil, water, flood, landuse, landcover or more specific applications like precision farming zone development. The relationships between the target properties and accessible digital data sources can be described with mathematical, statistical-geostatistical tools, therefore automated mapping and modelling procedures can be developed to map, analyse, estimate certain environmental factors, elements and their properties, and integrate them into a GIS modelling system to support decision making.
