Professional team sports operate in a very complex professional and business system. On the field, teams compete with each other to win, and off the field, they collaborate to build the foundation for joint business success. They operate according to principles similar to other sectors, while some defining characteristics affect the everyday life of the sector. The doctoral program focuses on learning the operational framework and business models - in the European and North American franchise leagues.
