The aim of the present project is the isolation, structure determination and antimicrobial evaluation of Lamiaceae, Astreaceae and Euphorbiaceae species. In the first step antimicrobial screening is performed in order to select the effective extracts, then activity-guided isolation will be made which allows the identification of the compounds with substantial antimicrobial activity. The structure elucidation will be carried out with HRMS, and NMR methods. The main focus will be given to previously uninvestigated genera and species, thus the present study may afford the discovery of new bioactive compounds with antimicrobial activity.
