A kutatási téma leírása:
Lexicography tends to quickly embrace advances in corpus linguistics. The aim of this research is to study how quantitative and qualitative corpus data, including word frequency and word co-occurrence frequency appear in (and influence) different lexicographical subtasks: headword inclusion, definition writing, the ordering of senses, finding and documenting collocations, etc. Our PhD candidate is expected to contribute to the theory and practice of lexicography; the practical contribution should be aimed at the English and/or the Hungarian languages.
