Scientific problem*
The use of drones is spreading very dynamically, and in addition to military applications, civilian applications are becoming increasingly prominent today. It is obvious that it is currently the most dynamically developing branch of the aerial industry, offering many opportunities, but also a responsibility to the users. Many areas of our modern world, as well as the development of the public service, it cannot be without the introduction of new methods, procedures and tools. Therefore in this case, the examination of the use of drones for public service is not just important but also relevant purposes.
Research objectives:
The purpose of the research topic is to examine the current situation and the future opportunities of the drone applications for public service, to help identify trends in development, and to explore the limitations and dangers of applications. Public service applications are focusing mostly on the governmental and municipal activities, law enforcement and border protection, defense management activities, and disaster management, however also the water affairs, forestry and environmental activities can be included. The objectives include that the results of new developments and applications meet the expectations of an efficient public service, so that both professional and economic efficiency criteria should be examined.
New scientific result to be achieved:
On the one hand, with the wider use of drones, several current activities in different areas of the public service can be made more efficient, and on the other hand, new activities that were not previously mentioned will be developed.
