A kutatási téma leírása:
The aim of PhD research is the development of novel nanostructured carrier systems for recombinant enzyme immobilization. Synthesis and characterization of functionalized, nanoparticles, nanofibers and nanoporous materials, which are applicable for selective adsorption, covalent binding or entrapment of recombinant enzymes (such as lyase, transaminase or dehydrogenase). Investigation of the immobilized biocatalysts in enantioselective biotransformations (by UV-VIS, GC, HPLC measurements) and characterization of the immobilized systems (enzyme binding capacity tests by UV-VIS and SDS-PAGE and morphology analysis by SEM-EDAX and DLS). Detailed test for the stability and reusability of immobilized biocatalysts and comparison studies with the commercially available forms. The main focus of the research is the production of novel, fine-tunable carrier systems, which can provide selective and efficient immobilized biocatalyst for the synthesis of enantiomerically pure compounds with pharmaceutical relevance (chiral amines, carboxylic acids, amino acids and their analogues) or cofactor regeneration in batch and packed bed continuous-flow reactors as well.
