A kutatási téma leírása:
The goal of this research is to study various aspects of the semantics and syntax of idioms in the framework of cognitive linguistic theories. It may aim at exploring the conceptual mechanisms underlying idioms in any language, such as metaphor, metonymy, blending, etc. and ideally relate this to the lexical or syntactic variability of expressions. The research endeavour may also focus on combinations of various conceptual phenomena and properties such as figurativity, decomposabillity and motivation.
