A kutatási téma leírása:

"Current technology trends point towards a new era of dependable Internet, which includes the concepts of Internet of Everything (IoE), Network Intelligentization and massive Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication. To address the rising challenges of these new mission-critical application based concepts ultra-reliable and low latency communication has to be established. To create such a dependable Internet we have to employ the advances in artificial intelligence (e.g., machine learning) and resolve the key issues in the backbone and access network, too.

In order to find the answers to these vital questions, we have to consider both classical networking approaches, and we have to exploit the advances in AI. We have to integrate custom AI methods deep into our networks. In particular, our task is to gather information about the network state (topology, traffic pattern, even weather information) and optimize the operation of the network locally or even globally. The aim is to focus on survivable and low latency network communication.

Open problems:
• Study how to utilize the machine learning in different Intelligent Survivable Communication Network Design problems, fitting supervised, unsupervised or reinforcement learning models to given challenges.
• Analyze the performance of multi-link network state prediction mechanism for enhancing the QoS (Quality of Service).
• Investigate how to fine-tune the routing scheme according to the network stat and how to deal with dynamically changing network topology e.g., the new technologies and opportunities like massive MIMO (multiple-input and multiple-output,) and terahertz communication.
• Investigate the Network state-based, Multipath Communication and Delay Aware Routing.
