A kutatási téma leírása:

During the last several decades, nanoliquids are intensively investigated. The nanofluids are homogenous combinations of base fluid and nanoparticles. These suspensions are made of various metals or non-metals e.g., aluminum (Al), copper (Cu), silver (Ag), and graphite or carbon nanotubes respectively. As a base fluid, water, oil or ethylene glycol can be considered. Nanofluids can be used in many areas in technological processes, e.g., in heat exchanger, vehicle cooling, nuclear reactor, cooling of electronic devices.
During the research work, we plan to carry out the following key activities.
1. Literature research on the topic, analyzing the results achieved so far.
2. Study of currently known mathematical and CFD models of nanofluid flow in pipe.
3. Investigate the mathematical models of nanofluid flow analytically.
4. Design and perform CFD model in ANSYS to examine the effects of parameters for nanofluid flow.
5. Evaluation and comparison of numerical and analytical results.
6. Continuous publication of the results.
Research conditions:
Research has been carried out at the University of Miskolc in recent years on this topic. A dissertation on the same topic was published in 2013. There are an engineering and mathematical software systems available to assist the research work.
