A kutatási téma leírása:
Much recent research, often labelled behavioral economics, shows that people have richer preferences than classical economics assumes, including social preferences, image concerns, and present bias; that their beliefs are often meaningfully different from what is called 'rational expectations', which does not necessarily mean however that beliefs are irrational, merely that they are not correct; and that they make systematic mistakes, such as mispredicting their preferences. I apply tools and insights from this strand of research with a goal of applying them to settings in education and personnel, where preferences over others, beliefs over outcomes and ability, and predictions about future behaviors affect how well students study, teachers teach, and employees work.
