A kutatási téma leírása:

Main aim of the doctoral research is to explore past directions and current trends of different branches of, and interdisciplinary topics including soil science and compare them to soil research agendas of national and international policy making and research funding institutions and professional networks. In addition, practical implementation of soil research results for sustainable land management practices are studied in a Pan-European approach.
The doctoral project will be structured along two lines and include their comparative analysis:
- Appraisal of the status and dynamics of quantitative features and characteristics of publications in soil science and soil related research using statistical techniques such as trend analysis.
- Furthering the results of the INSPIRATION1 Strategic Research Agenda by assessing the identified integrated and thematic research needs related to soil. Assessment approaches include identification of (i) basic and applied research needs as well as soil-related innovation activities, (ii) priority topics by countries/regions and different stakeholders and (iii) cooperative research need together with other disciplines.
The research is expected to deliver new knowledge on the dynamics of soil science in relation to the visions of soil scientists themselves, agendas of research funding organization and societal need as identified by the range of stakeholders with possible appraisal of the practical implementation of research results in Europe.
The European Soil Partnership has set among its targets the assessment of the feasibility of implementation of strategic research and innovation roadmaps in relation to agendas of end-user communities. The INSPIRATION1 H2020 project has produced a structured inventory of “Europeans’ Strategic Research Agenda for Integrated Spatial Planning, Land Use and Soil Management”, which include the assessment of soil research need in the continent. The research will build upon this knowledge base as well as on the analysis of publicly available publication datasets, including scientific literature and policy documents.
