The exchange of capital, goods, and services across international borders or territories. It is the exchange of goods and services among nations of the world. In most countries, such trade represents a significant share of gross domestic product (GDP). Trading globally gives consumers and countries the opportunity to be exposed to new markets and products.
Industrialization, advanced technology, including transportation, globalization, multinational corporations, and outsourcing are all having a major impact on the international trade system. Increasing international trade is crucial to the continuance of globalization. Without international trade, nations would be limited to the goods and services produced within their own borders. International trade is, in principle, not different from domestic trade as the motivation and the behavior of parties involved in a trade do not change fundamentally regardless of whether trade is across a border or not.
Globalization is a current process, and continuing, the main elements are: developing international trade, FDI-Foreign Direct Investments, cross border lending, information technology development and tools including Internet and other global electronic media. The knowledge of international trade and related topics trade and investments is very important for the future manager and researcher persons. The impacts are: The world becomes more integrated, countries become more independent, events and politics changes increasingly effects many other countries. Based on global market options, companies increasingly make decisions about production and product development and trade.
How we can understand global economic developments and to evaluates changes in economic policies? During the class the students can studying and examining the existing resources to create the most value and most benefits (population, resources, technology). Many methods and tools can be used, but the most important are: supply and demand analysis and extend their use to the international arena further more international economic with international trade theory and policy, and using strategy thinking is basic element, SWOT analysis? Lecturing and studying the related topics the students can be familiar with why and how countries trade goods and services can be evaluated and analyzed.
During the research period the students can get information about the main International Organization (IMF, WTO, WB, EU, FAO, OECD). They can study the different publications including statistical data, made by these organizations and use for preparing short study on the different issues. Special focus will be made on the EU Trade policy, and relations with different countries including economic integration issues.
