A kutatási téma leírása:
Girls’ careers in tech and IT? – for the equity of chances the equity of genders is needed. On
the one hand, young females – talented on the STEM fields ‒ should be attracted to the
technical-engineering and IT areas due to the significant shortage of labour force in these
fields. On the other hand, although the female management activities generating increasing
innovation / competitiveness, female employees encounter numerous hindering factors if they
choose technical-engineering and IT qualifications tracks in higher education and undertake
jobs in these fields which, in principle, are expected to secure better career advancement and
payment both for males and females.
