A kutatási téma leírása:
"The PhD student will work in the Research Group on Experimental Cartography (RGEC) - ELTE Eötvös Loránd University. The study is a multi-module research which includes the application of existing user tests in exploratory and representative researches and the development of culture-specific tests. Comparison of the results with the already published findings of the RGEC and other researchers may reveal cultural aspects of map reading. Finding the similarities/differences is one of the main objective of the research.
The testing of the map reading skills of people is usually done through online or paper-based questionnaires. The research, thus will include the planing and the evaluating of such questionnaires. Handling the web-database of the results (mySql), preparing the online appearance of the questionnaire, and disseminating the test among potential subjects are also parts of the research."
