Epigenetics is an exciting emerging field in the study of non-communicable diseases, including cancer. Precision oncology is an approach to cancer treatment that seeks to identify effective therapeutic strategies for every patient. Emerging extensive evidence is interestingly investigating epigenetics modification in cancers. E Different epidemiological designs have been developed to study epidemiology of epigenetics. Whether epigenetic risk in general, like smoking associated methylation changes, are reversible and whether the effectiveness of prevention (therapeutic or lifestyle) can be monitored with epigenetics is also important to elaborate.
