A high degree of organizational agility can help a company to react successfully to the emergence of new competitors, the development of new industry-changing technologies, sudden shifts in overall market conditions, in addition, to organizations to seek to achieve cost efficiencies. Companies tend to start using global virtual teams along with outsourcing labor which creates greater flexibility and innovative solutions for complex projects.
The agile and the lean management concepts have a similar way of managing manufacturing and service systems. These two concepts can be implemented on the IT services organizations to improve it. The aim of the research is to create a new model for transferring IT companies to agility and to study the impact of adopting this method.
Specific aims of the research are as follows. To describe how agile management focuses customer needs and how its principles can be applied to IT services. To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of going agile in organizations and how agile management principles are used to improve quality and reduce cost in the service. To differentiate the agile management leadership roles in quality improvement. To identify management tools to transfer IT services processes to agility.
