In this research we present the approach of the study of the world trade system, based on the most popular network analysis, mainly based on graph theory methods, based on the literature and illustrative examples. We want to present complex networked models that can be used to examine the internal features and evolution of the international trading system as a complex network. We review the possible graphical representations of the system, describe some network analysis methods to outline the possibilities for information retrieval. We use the UN Comtrade database to create our database. We use Gephi and VOSviewer network analysis applications for analysis and visualization and Atlas.ti software for qualitative data analysis.
