Even after 19 years of the last war and 10 years after the declaration of independence, Kosovo is still facing difficulties in rebuilding a proper country. In developing countries like Kosovo, civic organizations tend to have great impact in spreading the decision-making processes in the hands of civil society. Without any doubt they have big importance in Kosovo’s economic development in every sector. That said, they have big importance in agriculture as well, but their role in this sector, and their functions in improving and enhancing the agricultural sector, in general seems to be out of interest. Agriculture of Kosovo is one of the main pillars for economic development because it is considered as a potential sector for future prospect, even though it is not used at its best. The main problem is that there is not sufficient data and assessment for the role of civic organizations in Kosovo who are supposed to be developing the sector of agriculture.
The objective of the PhD research is to reveal the role of civic organizations in agriculture sector of Kosovo. The candidate will need to map first, by mostly secondary researches the current state of art of the civic sector. The researcher also needs to carry our primary research to study and reveal managerial specifications of agricultural related civic organizations, and by doing this try to develop and foster their performance, which overally result in the enhance of the performance of the agriculture as well.
