A kutatási téma leírása:

The world most recent and most largest-energy paricle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) aims to search for the elementary building blocks of the matter and investigate QuarkGluon Plasma (QGP), the pimordial matter of the Universe. A bit lower energies these researches look for the phases of the strongly interacting matter. These reseraches rely on the physical modelling of the measured hadron spectra and the analysis simulated and measured spectra, providimg information on the high-energy nulcear effects. Monte Carlo-based patricle transport simulations are the basis of the physical model analysis of this kind of tests, however the amount of simulated data has weak statistics in comparison to the data taken in high-statistics experimental measurements. The proposed PhD projekt aims to develop a high-speed simulation framework, which conatins the most recent physical models and uses the modern paralel techniques to reduce the simuation speed by the modern IT opportunities. The proposed research is theoretical physics and requires the basics of high-energy particle and nuclear physics. Candiate must have good English knowledge. The candidate should be familiar with IT background (basic knowledge of FORTRAN, C, C++ programing) and with paralel programming environments, like OpenCL/GPU. We can host one or two candidates. The PhD research is strongly connected to the theortical THOR and PHAROS EU COST actions and the results may be subject to test in experimental collaborations at the large-scale facilities: GSI/FAIR and ALICE LHC. The candiate may also contribute to these experimental working goup as a group member.
