The actors of the businnes life operate under manifold influence of the public policy. The public policy is a very complex and sophisticated territory, which has became more and more extended and many sided in the last decades. In the contemporary mixed economy any kind of businnes activity has to seriously calculate with the public policy as a very important part of the operating environment. The government and the national bank are the main actors and institutions of the public policy in a country. The government has a strong influence on the business environment not only through the fiscal policy, but with the regulation policy as well. The monetary policy became more and more important factor in the last decades, so doing business you have to be familiar with it as well. We can realize the importance of the quality of the public policy and institutions for the business performance, from that fact, that most of the international comparisons of the competitiveness place it in a central role during the measurement process. We live in a global world, and the economic, political, environmental processes are connected all over the globe. More and more factors, which are very important for the actors of the business life, exceed the national levels. Very often they are even out of controls of the integration organization and institutions. The crucial problems of the world, as the global terrorism, environmental problems, international financial crises etc. have brought the issue of global governance to the focus public attention around the world.
