Justification of the research topic:

The resources available when dealing with the consequences of disasters are almost invariably scarce, let them be financial, technical or human. The scarce resources demand increasing effectiveness of interventions while utilizing the current level of technology and its opportunities, according to the expectations of the society. More effective interventions considerably decrease the losses caused by disasters, whether they are human or financial loss or the destruction of natural values. Therefore, the research and development aiming to increase the effectiveness of interventions are justified.
Objectives:
Getting to know the essence, patterns of disaster management
Explaining and interpreting the issue of effectiveness in general and specific cases, thus, with regard to disaster management activities and equipment
The interpretation, research and development of the difference between the professional and financial effectiveness of interventions and equipment
Exploring the possibilities of increased effectiveness with regard to intervention methods and equipment
Research methods
Reviewing printed and electronic literature on the subject of effectiveness
Criteria assessments, comparative analyses and questionnaires
Conducting measures, experiments and analyses followed by mathematical and statistical data processing
Creating and testing models
Creating works of technical nature
