A kutatási téma leírása:

The World Ocean covers more than two third of the surface of the Earth. This waste amount of water offers great possibility for shipping, fishing and mining. From the beginning of human history the states wanted (want) to control as much of the World Ocean as much their resources allowed. The Navy as a special element of the state system offers a useful tool to project power far over the state border to protect vital national interest, and to hurt the interests of the hostile nations. The main area of research of the topic is how the naval theory and technology changed, and the way how the states waged naval war from the ancient world up to the globalisation.
