Several toxicological and genotoxicological data should be collected to assess the environmental risk of nanoproducts. The aquatic environment is primarily examined. The water types which can cause human exposures (surface, drinking, thermal and mineral waters) should be studied. Laboratory experiments, that is toxicity and genotoxicity test are carried out with nanoproducts of low or without water solubility.
