Mexico ranks fourth in the world in biodiversity and is one of the 17 megadiverse countries with over 200,000 different species. Mexico is home of 10-12% of the world´s diversity protected natural areas, but there are several invasive, but a wide range of inappropriate and unsustainable vegetation in the urban environment. By examining and evaluating a number of sample sites, the research focuses on the correct and sustainable choice of plants, which could in the future be used as a recommendation for practical application.
