A kutatási téma leírása:
The prognosis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) can be significantly improved by targeted preventive services, which can be delivered by general practitioners. If the provision and/or utilization of these services is/are not sufficient, it may strongly contribute to the worsening of the prognosis.
The main aim of the research program is to develop provision and utilization related indicators for general medical practices providing care – among others - for adult T2DM patients by following recommendations of the EUBIROD (EUropean Best Information through Regional Outcomes in Diabetes), using the database of the National Institute for Health Insurance Fund Management and population based survey results, and applying standardization based statistical methods. The secondary aim is to study the determinants of the utilization, focusing mainly on to structural features of general medical practices and socio-economic status of the patients.
