A kutatási téma leírása:
C++QED – a generic framework for simulating open quantum dynamics – is an ambitious project that has been developed since 2006 (cf. http://cppqed.sf.net). C++QED uses a unique heuristic Monte Carlo wave-function (MCWF) trajectory driver with adaptive step-size, which method has not yet been published. The convergence of the method should be established depending on the physical system and driver parameters. The adaptive step-size heuristic should be extended to higher order MCWF steppers. Besides working with quantum trajectory methods, the candidate has the opportunity of learning best practices in C++ scientific computing, using state-of-the-art programming techniques, such as C++ template metaprogramming and high-quality libraries.
