Description of the research topic:

In light of current EU agricultural policies and consumer needs, more sustainable and environmentally friendly pests control strategies are needed rather than hazardous control measures. This study will open new strategies for pests control through a better understanding in pest- and habitat ecology as well as their interactions. It will equally address the development of new sustainable pest control strategies, such as preventive or direct cultural and biological control measures, within an integrated crop management approach.
