Description of the research topic:

Social media has a significant impact on increasing the visibility of tourist destinations and enhancing visitor interest, directly influencing their development and growth. Inspiring images, travel experiences, and positive reviews shared on online platforms contribute to promoting individual locations, boosting their appeal and experiencing exponential growth among tourists. Additionally, social media enables destinations to engage directly with visitors, share local cultural values, programs, and events, further sparking interest and supporting the growth of tourism activities. Positive feedback and online content generated by social media provide additional momentum to the development of tourist destinations, encouraging infrastructural developments, the establishment of new tourism services, and the promotion of sustainable tourism. Thus, social media functions not only as an informative and communicative tool but also becomes an active player in the dynamic development and diversification of tourist destinations.
Researching the role of social media in the development of tourist destinations is an exceptionally important topic in the modern era. This research area allows tourism professionals and policymakers to gain deeper insights into how the use of online platforms influences the visibility, attractiveness, and growth of tourist destinations. The impact of social media extends beyond merely increasing visitor interest to various other areas, including local economic development, cultural preservation, and infrastructural investments. Such research can assist in the formulation of new tourism strategies, more effective utilization of online communication tools, and the promotion of sustainable tourism practices. Overall, investigating the role of social media contributes to a more efficient and sustainable development of the tourism industry.
