Description of the research topic:
In industrial practice, many engineering problems arise where the generally applied and proven methods can only be used to a limited extent or not at all. Machine learning methods have appeared in several scientific fields, which can also be successfully applied in mechanical engineering. The aim of the research is the finite element modelling and optimization of an engineering structure with material and/or geometric nonlinearity using machine learning methods. The research includes the validation of the simulation results with extensive material testing and the connection of the optimization algorithm with the finite element program.
