Description of the research topic:
There is a growing demand for the use of wood, especially in the use of valuable wood that is resistant to biological pests and has high dimensional stability. Timber with such properties is usually slow-growing, so this need must be met from other sources. A good alternative to this is to modify wood with inherently less favorable physical-mechanical properties. Of the various modification methods, little attention has been paid so far to the use of natural materials as modifiers. Impregnation with the natural based polymers to be used can significantly improve the targeted wood properties, especially dimensional stability
