Description of the research topic:

This research project's central question is: Are investors willing to choose between monetary returns and non-monetary, but morally motivated, returns?

The rationale for this research lies in the recognition that the transformation of finance into an instrument of societal and environmental change is not only a commendable endeavour but a pressing necessity. The increasing threats posed by climate change, social inequality, and corporate irresponsibility have accentuated the urgency of reorienting the financial industry to align with broader societal goals. Whether investors are willing to forgo some financial returns in exchange for the non-financial, but morally and environmentally conscious, returns provided by green financial products is the central question driving this research.
