Description of the research topic:

As a language for special purposes, the theolinguistic register is different from colloquial usage. Language planning has been done primarily on the standard variety, the specific language use of individual Bible translations has been less researched. The research focuses on the linguistic features of the individual Hungarian translations, on the - typical - linguistic elements of the translations that differ from the vernacular, pointing out the special linguistic features of the language of the Bible.
