Description of the research topic:
Woody plants are of outstanding importance in almost the entire spectrum of ecosystem services, playing an important role in supply, regulatory, support and cultural groups. The research will based on in situ studies of woody taxa, e.g. to assess individual and stand-level differences in chlorophyll content, photosynthetic and environmental cooling. The evaluations are expected to address not only future ecological and sustainability issues, but also aesthetic aspects that make planting concepts with high environmental value more acceptable to the urban population.
