Description of the research topic:

In a previous study, we investigated the presence of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines of the IL-1 cytokine family of KC origin in atopic dermatitis (AD), a typical disease of dry skin regions. To determine whether the expression of these cytokines is AD-specific or only related to inflammation, we also investigated their presence in other immune-mediated skin diseases (rosacea, psoriasis). Since the imbalance between pro- and anti-inflammatory epimmunoms may be crucial in the development of these diseases, and the shared influence of the investigated cytokines may improve therapeutic efficacy, our studies also have significant therapeutic potential.
