Description of the research topic:

The research analysis the links between hiking trails and landscape protection and nature conservation objectives, with a special focus on the positive effects of hiking trails in the field of heritage protection and nature conservation presentation. The research includes a thematic typology of hiking trails in Hungarian national parks, their analysis and evaluation in a study area, from the point of view of landscape protection, nature conservation, ecotourism and recreation. An important task is to understand and assess the educational and awareness-raising role of trails through the visitor experience. The research will include the study and evaluation of a Chinese study site (Taihang Mountains / Mount Song, Henan) and a comparative analysis between the study sites. The results of the research are expected to be useful for ecotourism practice.
