Description of the research topic:

Collection of blood-sucking ecto- and endoparasites from birds and their habitats; and blood sampling from potential reservoirs. DNA extraction from these samples, and their analysis with conventional and real-time PCR for the presence of important animal and human pathogens. Analysis of the spatiotemporal distribution of vectors, reservoirs and agents carried by them.

Required language skills: angol
Further requirements: 
interest in scientific work, parasitology, entomology, helminthology; precision in manual work
- graduated as veterinarian
- advantage: TDK work, publication and practical experience in parasitological laboratory work
