Description of the research topic:
Vertical analysis has crucial importance in the economic assessment of biomass for energy use, as the production and processing of feedstocks, as well as sale and consumption of final products can be understood in systems and it has significant impact on macroeconomic factors. A prerequisite for the effective operation of the branch is therefore that it should be profitable for each of the actors in the branch. The research deals with the profitability of the different actors in the biomass energy production and the possible harmonisation of interests at different levels. The results could be useful for the preparation of the regulatory framework of renewable energy sources and the optimisation of its economic environment.
