Description of the research topic:
Anthropogenic geomorphology is, in a first approach, the study of the large and growing number of surface form complexes, which are highly diverse in their specific formation and purpose, created by society in the course of its activities. In this sense, it can be classified as a branch of dynamic geomorphology, since human activity, like other geomorphological factors, is itself a surface-forming force with its own specific formal consequences. The scope of anthropogenic geomorphology therefore includes not only the study of the forms created, but also the study of the (surface) changes they induce and the prediction of their consequences in terms of disturbance of the natural balance, as well as the formulation of proposals to counteract adverse effects. This range of topics and tasks should also give anthropogenic geomorphology an applied character, but in such a way that its results are not only useful for solving socio-economic problems but also for protecting the environment and nature.
