Description of the research topic:

Children are using digital devices at an increasingly young age and for an increasing amount of time, but we still know very little about how this affects their cognitive and socio-emotional development. The doctoral student will carry out cross-sectional, longitudinal and experimental studies to explore how the use of digital devices, as well as certain special activities and contents within them, affect children's various cognitive and socio-emotional skills, taking into account family and socio-demographic factors.
